The Cracovia School of Fencing is organising a fundraiser on the pomagam.pl portal. The aim is to support the school financially in problems caused by economic restrictions and COVID-19 pandemic.
Prolonged COVID-19 restrictions and ensuing bans on activities leave a strong imprint on certain business sectors, including the broadly-defined fitness sector. Some of you have definitely felt this through the closure of local HEMA clubs. Unfortunately, the clubs have felt this even more as very often they lost their only way for making an income.
As the Cracovia School of Fencing has informed, due to a prolonged inability to conduct their activity and lack of sensible help from the government, the club is currently on the brink of complete ending of their activity. The school is therefore asking for help from the community.
The roots of the Cracovia School of Fencing go back to the Cracow section of the Association for Old Europen Martial Arts ARMA-PL. It is one of the most important organisations of this type within the southern region of Poland. Apart from conducting purely training activities, it also promotes knowledge through, among others, cooperation with the Jagiellonian University.
Those interested in helping are invited to check the details of the fundraiser on pomagam.pl website.
[UPDATE] Within less than first 24 hours of the fundraising, the Cracovia School of Fencing collected over PLN 20000. Congratulations!
Stay safe and healthy!
